THE BEST EVENTS IN LONDON IN FEBRUARY 2019

Get ready for an amazing February. We’ve said goodbye to January and now London is beginning to brighten up. Use the – slightly – longer days to enjoy the month’s brilliant batch of events and celebrations. Join the spectacular Chinese New Year celebrations, impress your loved one with one of the many Valentine’s Day activities or step into a botanical paradise inspired by Colombia’s plant life with the Orchids Festival at Kew Gardens. As every month, we’ve put together a list of events to keep you occupied during your stay with us!

ORCHIDS FESTIVAL AT KEW GARDENS – From 9 February to 10 March 2019

Escape the dreary winter with Kew’s annual festival of orchids. Through a spectacular ensemble of orchid-laden displays along a curated route, Kew Gardens are celebrating Colombia this year. The flagship display is a carnival of animals, depicting a toucan in flight, a hanging sloth and a swimming turtle. Kew Gardens brought to life the breath-taking rainbow river Caño Cristales and Colombia’s incredible forests – complete with life-sized jaguar! With a surprise around every corner, you’ll spot hundreds of colourful butterflies suspended from the glass ceiling and a floating golden-yellow display to honour the legend of El Dorado. For more information visit the official website.
