Set within the beautiful surroundings of Kensington Gardens, the galleries are known for their exciting exhibitions and their famous annual pavilion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The new season begins in March with a fresh programme of exhibitions. This year includes work by celebrated British artist David Hockney, whose vibrant and innovative pieces have made him one of the most influential artists of his generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Visitors will also be able to see an exhibition by contemporary painter Cecily Brown, known for her energetic and expressive style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Alongside the exhibitions, the Serpentine Pavilion returns once again. Each year an internationally renowned architect designs a temporary structure on the gallery lawn, creating a unique space where visitors can sit, relax and experience architecture in a completely different way. The pavilion for 2026 is designed by Lanza Atelier and takes inspiration from the shape of the nearby Serpentine Lake and the classic English architectural feature of a \u201ccrinkle crankle\u201d wall.
